Teamwork

Children playing basketball on a basketball court. One child dribbles the ball in the middle of the group.

A team is a group of people that work together to reach a goal. This goal can include choosing a new mascot, trying a new skill together, or even winning a game.

When people feel like they are part of a team, they are willing to participate in an activity or sport as a member of that team.

When people work together on a team and help each other feel like they belong, it is called teamwork.

Some examples of teamwork might be:

  • helping and supporting each other
  • listening to each other’s ideas
  • giving each other positive messages
