Teamwork
A team is a group of people that work together to reach a goal. This goal can include choosing a new mascot, trying a new skill together, or even winning a game.
When people feel like they are part of a team, they are willing to participate in an activity or sport as a member of that team.
When people work together on a team and help each other feel like they belong, it is called teamwork.
Some examples of teamwork might be:
- helping and supporting each other
- listening to each other’s ideas
- giving each other positive messages

Basketball used to be played with a soccer ball. Players would rub coal dust on their hands so that they could hold onto the ball better!

Fred VanVleet is an American basketball player who played for the Toronto Raptors in the 2022-2023 season. He joined the Toronto Raptors in 2016 and became a strong part of the team. VanVleet and the team worked hard to build their skills together and ended up winning an NBA championship in 2019!
